At the beginning of the year I asked you guys on Instagram what you’d like to see more of on The Lovely Lo Down. One of the things I asked was if you prefer to see my finds from the staple stores like J.Crew, Nordstrom, Shopbop, etc or if you’d prefer seeing features on unique, smaller brands and boutiques that I’ve discovered and love. The majority of you said you’d like to see more unique stores and brands which was really exciting for me because one of my favorite thing is when I discover a new brand that I love! So, with all that being said, today I’m sharing my first boutique feature!
While, I love shopping my favorite staple retailers, I do feel like some of them become a little repetitive so I tend to find most of my favorite pieces at boutiques! There are SO many really great clothing brands out there that are ONLY sold at small boutiques which is another reason I love shopping boutiques – you won’t feel like everyone and their mom is going to show up wearing the same top as you! Most importantly, I love to support small, local businesses that give your community and surrounding communities their charm.
Today’s Boutique, G & G Women’s Boutique, is a local Chicago boutique that I had the chance to visit in person but you can also buy a lot of the pieces they carry online! They offer everything from pieces that can be worn to the office to work out wear and PJs. G & G carries so many brands that I’ve never heard of like the adorable top I’m wearing and these jeans! My floral puff sleeve top is perfect for spring and summer and it can be worn with the sleeves up (like I have it here) or off the shoulder! I’m looking forward to wearing it with shorts or a skirt soon! I also have to talk about these jeans because they are the MOST comfortable jeans I’ve ever worn. I love having a few pairs of comfy jeans that I can wear around the house and running errands and these are 100% my new favorite. They are also only $98 which is a steal for a good pair of jeans!
