Green Velvet Wrap Dress

I was dead set on wearing a green velvet dress at some point this holiday season. Not only is velvet one of my favorite materials for this time of year, its actually on trend for 2017. After looking at tons of different styles online and trying on a couple in store I found that the wrap dress style in a darker color, like this emerald green wrap dress, was the most flattering for a velvet style dress.

Since this is a pretty simple dress, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to pull out my favorite polka dot printed tights. Printed tights are such a fun way to add some flair to a simple dress or skirt especially for the holidays! You can find tons of cute pairs at places like LOFT, Target, and Nordstrom.

Anyways, it just hit me that Christmas is officially a week away! I’m SO excited for all the holiday festivities I have planned with family and friends this weekend. I’m sure this dress will be making an appearance, but I still have to figure out what I’ll be wearing the other two days.
