The Nordstrom Anniversary sale and the chilly weather that hit Chicago this past weekend has me so excited to start the transition to fall fashion. Somehow I always have a million errands to run every weekend and I’ve found that I’m so much more productive if I actually pull myself together a little bit and get out of my sweats. For weekend errands I always default to my favorite basics which usually consists of jeans, a relaxed fit t-shirt and a sweater (its always freezing in the grocery store!!)
This white Banana Republic t-shirt is one of my favorites especially for summer. The material is almost like a linen so its lighter weight and looks a little nicer than just plain cotton. I also got my hands on one of the Nordstrom Anniversary Lush t-shirts (I woke up at 3 AM to shop which is probably something I shouldn’t admit!!) which is so soft and the raw hem and side slits give it a little more style. I’m hoping it comes back in stock after the sale so I can get a few more colors. I truthfully don’t think you can ever have too many variations of white-t’s. I’ve linked a couple more of my faves below!
My evergreen sweater was part of the Anniversary Sale as well. I originally only bought this sweater in the oatmeal color but love it so much I decided to get the green as well. Its not a color I would normally pick but I’m excited to layer it with flannels this fall. If you weren’t able to get your hands on one of these and still want the Anniversary sale price point, I found a very similar dupe at Old Navy for under $35!
These sandals are currently my biggest obsession. I had my eye on them forever and made the mistake of not buying them right away. I ended up getting really lucky and found one pair which happened to be my size – I felt like it was a sign that I had to get them! I will say they were a little painful to break in but they make any simple outfit a little more fun!
I’m sure I’ll regret saying this a few months from now but I can’t wait for the fall temps to be here for good!
