I can’t believe Easter weekend is already here! With everything happening in the world, I feel so bittersweet about celebrating Easter this year. We normally celebrate with one of our families but, this year it will be just Ryan and I. I was feeling kind of bummed and didn’t have anything planned until a special delivery from MacKenzie-Childs arrived a few days ago.
MacKenzie-Childs is a brand that I’ve adored for quite some time so I am beyond thrilled to have this opportunity to partner with them. I have so much admiration for the company’s mission to bring joy into homes across the world β they have certainly done that in ours!
I had the opportunity to spend a day with the MacKenzie-Childs team a few weeks ago. We got our creative juices flowing and learned so much about the company and the incredible artistry that goes into their work. Something you may not realize is that every single one of their ceramic and furniture pieces are done by hand. You can only truly appreciate that until youβve held one of their pieces and looked at all the incredible details that go into it. After spending time with the MacKenzie-Childs team and learning about their love of home, emphasis on individuality and attention to detail I have so much more appreciation for the brand and their work.
Many of the pieces I chose from MacKenzie-Childs are from the Taylor collection. My first piece from the Taylor collection was actually a wedding gift from my sisters. They wanted to get me something special, so I told them to pick a piece from MacKenzie-Childs that reminded them of me. They picked the MacKenzie-Childs Cabbage Rose Taylor Serving Platter. As someone who absolutely loves color and frills, the Taylor collection couldnβt be a better fit for me. I also love this collection because it complements the MacKenzie-Childs Courtly Check pieces so well. This collection will bring so much joy to all of our family celebrations to come and will forever remind me of my sisters.
Needless to say, after tearing open all the pretty cheerful pieces I recently received from MacKenzie-Childs, I couldn’t resist setting my Easter table – even Ryan got a little giddy when he came downstairs and saw it! It inspired me to put together a special Easter weekend for Ryan and I. After-all, this will be our first Easter in our new home and as a married couple so why not make some new Easter traditions of our own. I can’t think of a better brand than MacKenzie-Childs to help us do that especially in the midst of these unsettling times.
A few of the Easter festivities I have planned are going to be a surprise for Ryan so you’ll have to tune into my Instagram stories for those, but I did want to share a little bit more about what I have planned for Easter brunch!
My mom is a master when it comes to entertaining – she always sets the most beautiful table and makes AMAZING dishes! I’m really excited to start this same tradition for Ryan and I.Β I got a little help from my mom on the recipes and of course, I owe it to MacKenzie-Childs for the help with my table setting. Depending how this goes I may even offer to host Easter brunch for our families next year! Here’s a little rundown of our Easter brunch menu
Easter Brunch Menu
Gal Gandβs Strata: This strata recipe is probably the best egg dish I’ve ever had. My mom made it for Christmas brunch and I could have eaten the whole pan. It’s a pretty simple recipe and you can put whatever filling ingredients you want in it! I’m re-creating the same one my mom made which had ham, GruyΓ¨re cheese, caramelized onions and asparagus! I’m excited to use my new MacKenzie-Childs Courtly Check Enamel Baking Pan for this recipe!
Blueberry Cream Scones: I like to balance out the savory dish with something sweet so I’m going to give this scone recipe a shot. Scones are my favorite pastry. I bought some mini scones from the grocery store as a back up but I have them sitting out on the counter on this gorgeous MacKenzie-Childs Sweetbriar Cake Stand and I have a feeling theyβll be gone before Easter brunch.
Fresh Berries: I love a big bowl of fresh berries especially with so many sweet and savory dishes it’s nice to have something fresh to balance it all out. Plus, they look super pretty in this MacKenzie-Childs Courtly Check Enamel Compote
Fresh Squeezed OJ/Mimosas: Another one of my all-time favorite things is fresh squeezed orange juice – my mom always bought it as a treat for special holidays but now you can get it easily at any grocery store. If we’re feeling fancy, we may even make some mimosas! Regardless, we’ll be using our MacKenzie-Childs Wine Glasses that I’m obsessed with. They come in so many pretty designs so instead of getting a set of the same ones I mixed and matched.
I hope this has inspired you to make your Easter weekend extra special! I’d love to hear what you have planned. To make it easy to shop my Easter table-setting, everything is linked below!
