Happy Nordstrom Anniversary Everyone! I am so excited about the sale this year and truly feel like its better than years in the past. For my first pass in stores I focused most of my time on denim and sweaters which you’ll see in my try on below. I’m also SO excited that some of my favorite items from last year are back again. I also started looking online and have seen quite a few things I missed that I really like so I’ll be posting all of the things I’ve got my eye on on my shop page! Madewell Patch Pocket Sweater // Sale Price: $45.90 Regular Price: $69.50
This sweater is so cute and one of my favorite items from the sale I love the little pockets. It would look super cute with a collared shirt under it. I’m wearing an XS
AG Raw Edge Denim // Sale Price: $149.90 Regular Price: $225.00
These are by far my favorite jeans of all time. I actually got them at the sale last year but they’re back and I am considering buying another pair just because I love them so much. Highly recommend! I am usually between a 25 and 26 and I’m wearing a 26 in these and they fit perfectly. They have a good amount of stretch – a little tight after a wash but they are so comfortable.
Halogen Cashmere Scarf // Sale Price:$98.90 Regular Price: $149.00
This is another item I bought last year that came back again this year and another one that I’m considering buying again. I use this all the time. It doubles as a scarf or a wrap so it also comes in handy to bring to events and dinners in the summer if its going to be a chilly night.
Caslon Allie Wedge Sneaker // Sale Price:$64.90 Regular Price: $99.95
I am super excited about these sneakers. I’ve been wanting a pair with a bit of wedge to them that I can wear for running errands or meeting friends out at a bar. These are super comfortable and come in three really cute colors – grey, black and tan which is the color that I’m wearing. They fit true to size – I’m wearing an 8.
Free People Turtle Neck Sweater // Sale Price: $98.90 Regular Price: $148.00
This sweater is something I bought last year separately from the sale and am SO excited to see that it is included this year! I think I wore this sweater at LEAST once a week last fall its beyond comfortable and looks cute with jeans, leggings or even with a cute mini skirt. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Its very oversized so I’m wearing an XS
AG Ex-Boyfriend Relaxed Slim Jeans // Sale Price: $149.90 Regular Price: $225.00
I’m super excited about these jeans, I love having a few pairs that are just comfy to run errands in or sit around the house in. These aren’t super stretchy but they are SO roomy. You can swear them rolled up or down You’ll see I’m wearing them again rolled down in one of my outfits to follow. Definitely size down I’m typically a 25 or 26 and I’m wearing a 24 in this pair.
Something Navy Leopard Crewneck Pullover // Sale Price: $49.90 Regular Price: $79.00
If there’s one thing I learned fro the N.Sale is that Leopard is going to be huge this fall. There IS so much Leopard print included in the sale! I loved that this was more of a black and grey leopard but what sold me is that this pullover is SO soft. I’m wearing an XS
Zella Live In High Waist Leggings // Sale Price: $38.90 Regular Price: $59.00
If you haven’t tried out Zella’s leggings you need to snag a pair of these. I get at least one pair every year because they are just such an amazing basic to have for fall/winter. I went with an xs this year. They are pretty snug on me but mine always stretch out so much as I wear them so I sized down this time around.
Caslon Turtleneck Sweater // Sale Price: $45.90 Regular Price: $69.00
This sweater is so incredibly soft and comfortable I couldn’t resist! It comes in a bunch of colors some that I didn’t see in store so I’m thinking I might order another one in a different color because I love it so much!
Le Skinny Chew Hem Ankle Jeans // Sale Price: $146.90 Regular Price: $220.00
You can’t see the hem of these jeans in this photo but you’ll see them in the next outfit. They are SO Cute but also just a great dark wash to wear with boots. I’m wearing a size 25.
Blondo Noreen Waterproof Boots // Sale Price: $159.90 Regular Price: $239.95
These I’m still a little back and forth on I’m trying to decide if I want this pair that goes a little bit higher over the knee but I will say these are very very comfortable. Comfortable boots are hard for me because I have a really high arch and wide foot but these are like pillows. They also seem to be lined with fleece or something which makes the extra warm which is a must for Chicago winters! They also come in a black and grey- I’m wearing the taupe/sand color. These are also very true to size I’m wearing a size 8.
J.Crew Sara Drapey Leopard Print Top // Sale Price: $45.90 Regular Price: $69.50
As I mentioned above, there was SO much leopard print in the sale this year which means its going to be huge for fall! I just adore the style of this top its so flattering and the leopard print is more subtle which I really love. I’m wearing a size S
Le Skinny Chew Hem Ankle Jeans // Sale Price: $146.90 Regular Price: $220.00
These are the same jeans I was wearing above with the boots. They are a really fun distressed hem which is so on trend for this fall. They are also super comfortable and can be dressed up or down. I’m wearing a size 25.
J.Crew New Oversize Cardigan // Sale Price: $52.90 Regular Price: $79.50
I was kind of so so on this when I saw it on the rack but once I tried it on I was in love! Its super comfortable but still looks chic and super classic. I wearing an XS.

BP Lace Satin Cami // Sale Price: $25.90 Regular Price: $39.00
This lace cami is such an amazing basic that can be worn all year. It looks adorable on its own for a summer date night out or works as a great layering piece for under sweaters and cardigans. I am wearing a size S because I like to have more of a flowy fit with tanks like this. I also have this tank in black and it comes in a couple printed patterns as well.

ITEMS I’M STILL THINKING ABOUT BUYING…
Madewell Ryder Stripe Cardigan: The only reason I didn’t get this one is because I feel like I already have a lot of similar sweaters. Its SO cute and comfortable. Its slightly oversized but still fits well.
Thread & Supply Wubby Fleece: I’m obsessed with this pullover it is SOOO COZY. My sister has one and I’ve always wanted to steal it. I didn’t buy because I have SO Many cozy pullovers like this one already but I probably will cave and order it online. 🙂
Something Navy Flecked Crewneck Sweater: This sweater is super soft and really cute but I felt like the pink was a little TOO bright for me. I noticed online that it comes in a lighter pink and a few other colors that I didn’t see in store so I might reconsider getting it.
Zella High/Low Sweatshirt: I liked how simple this sweatshirt was and would definitely wear it with jeans or leggings. The best part is that it’s lined with the softest, coziest fleece material!! I didn’t buy it because I just have so much loungewear with nowhere to put it right now.
Alo High Waist Moto Leggings: I loved these but as I mentioned above, I just have a lot of work out/lounge clothes right now and nowhere to put them in our apartment so I’m trying to avoid buying more until I have more room! 🙂
Madewell Faux Wrap Pullover: I loved the style of this sweater but I always have a hard time with wearing navy which was the only color they had in the store I shopped but I just saw that it comes in a taupe and camel color that I might consider. Its very soft and not itchy at all! I believe I was wearing a small.
Zella Elevate Wool & Cashmere Sweater: This was just way too big on me. I tried it on in the s/m sizes they didn’t have the xxs/xs in stock but I’m not sure that even would have fit me properly.
Items I Liked But Didn’t Buy
Leith Square Neck Sweater Tank: I love square neck tanks like this one and the green color is really pretty. I didn’t get this because I just didn’t see myself wearing it that often but I think its a really cute style and a great layering piece and the quality of the material is awesome.
Leith Wide Strap Sleeveless Midi Dress: I loved the fit and style of this dress but wasn’t in love with the color. I also couldn’t really picture where I would wear this. I wish it came in black because I probably would have gotten it! The quality of the material is really nice is pretty thick which is great for something tight like this. I’m wearing an xs.
Leopard Print Dress: I think this is a really cute dress in theory but it was too big on me (I’m wearing an xs here) and I felt like the leopard print was just too overpowering. I think it would work on someone a little taller.
Items that Didn’t Work For Me
Calson Hooded French Terry: This was just kind of blah. There is a tie on the inside of the sweater that sinches in the waist but I wish it was more of a belted cardigan with a tie that went on the outside. I do love that it has a hood though.
Treasure & Bond Mock Neck Sweater: I really loved the color of this but I just wasn’t into the mock neck and the fabric was a little stiff and itchy.
Halogen Button Sleeve Turtleneck: This was really cute and I liked the button sleeve detail but it was a little on the itchy side for me. I will say though, I’m very sensitive to itchy fabrics so if you aren’t this is a really cute sweater!
