If you’ve been following me for any time at all, it’s obvious that I love bright colors and rarely wear black – especially during the summer months. In the case that I do wear black, it usually involves an embellishment, statement piece or fun pattern like the look I’m sharing today.

I love playing around with different patterns and find it a fun challenge to figure out how to work with wild statement piece like these shoes which are completely out of my comfort zone. They happened to be on sale at Zara for $9 and I can’t seem to resist polka dots or stripes so I had to take them home with me to have a little fun and try something different! They ended up working with this overall jumper that has been sitting in my closet all summer. I paired it with a peter pan collar to give the look my “preppy” touch brining it a bit more into my comfort zone. I think these shoes might be fun for a GNO with black pants and a white tank so might be seeing them again sometime this fall!
