Happy Thursday Guys!! This week has been a little crazy and I’ve been all over the place! On Tuesday I went to a business conference that turned out to be kind of a disaster! I won’t get into details but I ended up skipping most of it and hung out with my mom which was such a treat! However, I didn’t get anything done on the work side of things, so I’ve been playing catch up the past two days. The one positive that came out of the conference was that I got to see Rachel Hollis speak live! She was as amazing as you would think and got me fired up for the rest of the week! I love the weeks when I’m feeling so motivated and energized that I don’t even think about the weekend!
I wore this pink Madewell x Dickies jacket while running some errands earlier this week. It’s the perfect extra layer to throw on over a t-shirt or sweater. You may have noticed that this simple, structured jacket style that has a “borrowed from the boys” feel is becoming pretty popular. I learned that the style actually has a name. It’s called a “chore jacket” or a “work jacket” because it was the first jacket designed specifically for workers! I really love the style and love that Madewell partnered up with Dickies to create it. Dickies has been making work wear for since the 1920s so it makes sense that Madewell worked with them to bring this trend to life. Also, could the color be any more perfect?!
I linked a few other Chore Jackets below if you’re interested in checking out different styles!
