If you couldn’t already tell, today’s post is all about one of my favorite fall fabrics – tweed! For years fashion icons from C.Z. Guest and Lee Radziwill to Kate Middleton and Olivia Palermo have been wearing tweed in every shape and form proving that it will never go out of style. Today you can still find tweed handbags, shoes, skirts, jackets and dresses like the one I’m wearing in this post! Tweed pieces also range in price from items like this insanely expensive (but beautiful) tweed Balmain dress to the $70 dress that I’m wearing today.
While tweed can be difficult to wear if it’s not great quality that definitely doesn’t mean you have to spend a fortune to incorporate it into your wardrobe. There are tons of tweed items out there that are well made and paired with the right pieces can give you that “right of the Chanel runway” look.Since tweed tends to be a bit busy and a heavier fabric it’s best to stick to simple layers and accessories. I layered my tweed dress with my favorite black long sleeve from Zara and a pair of sleek OTK boots. If you’re looking to add a touch of tweed to your fall wardrobe I rounded up a few pieces that I’ve got my eye on below!
