The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale catalog came out yesterday and I was so excited to browse through it! I think the best part of the catalog is to be able to see which beauty products are going to be included and was SO excited to see that my two favorite tools are part of the sale this year! To be honest, I was always pretty skeptical of pricey beauty tools and hesitant to spend a lot of money on skincare products. My whole life I used Neutrogena face wash to take off my make up at night and called it a day. After I graduated college, I started to test out some of the products that were being raved about online and really noticed a difference, so I decided it was time to start investing in my skin.
This past Christmas, I received my Beauty Bioscience Glopro and was so excited to try it out. I heard amazing things and had been following the founder, Jaime O’ banion, on Instagram for a while – her skin is flawless so I figured she must know what she’s doing! The tool is a little intimidating and scary at first because the roller is made up of hundreds of tiny needles, but I promise it doesn’t hurt! The needles poke microscopic holes in your skin which do two things:
- Stimulates the skin’s natural rejuvenation response which triggers your body to make new, younger skin cells. This helps make the skin smoother and firmer.
- The tiny holes increase and improves absorption of skincare products by 200x. If you’re going to spend money on pricey skincare products you want to make sure your skin is absorbing as much as possible!!
I’ve been using this on and off for the past six months and have definitely noticed a difference in my skin especially when using the Beauty Bioscience skincare products along with the roller. I currently use The Daily (in the morning), The Nightly (in the evening) and The Plump (in the evening). I don’t use it every day but try to at least three times a week. You don’t need to use the Bioscience skincare products specifically or any skincare products with the roller, but I definitely noticed a difference once I started using the products with the tool. There is a quiz you can take online that tells you which products are best for you based on your skin type and the results you want to see which is super helpful!

Another amazing product that will be part of the Nordstrom Anniversary sale is the DERMAFLASH. My mom introduced me to this tool when I was showing her my new GloPro. She was amazed by the number of people at Sephora and Nordstrom who told her that the DERMAFLASH was THE must have beauty tool of the holiday season. She explained it to me as a face shaver which kind of freaked me out at first but I kept hearing such amazing things so I did more research. After seeing the incredible before an after’s on their website I was quickly convinced I needed it – especially now as I’m getting ready for my wedding! I also learned that it is MUCH more than a face shaver 🙂
The main benefit of using DERMFLASH is that it removes the top layer of dull, dead skin and yucky dirt and debris that builds up on your skin and eventually seeps into your pores. The peach fuzz removal is another wonderful benefit that makes your skin softer than ever! I really didn’t think I had a whole lot of peach fuzz but I can tell that even though I couldn’t see it, it was there – my face is 10x smoother!

The two things I will say is that no, it not hurt one bit and no, your peach fuzz does not grow back thicker or darker whatsoever!I’ve only been using this for two weeks, but I am so obsessed! My skin has never been this smooth or glowy and my makeup goes on so much easier and doesn’t separate as much. Another really nice thing about the DERMAFLASH is that you only need to use it once a week. This is nice for someone like me who isn’t the best at sticking to a consistent daily routine.
