Holy cow I can’t believe it’s already almost the 4th of July! While this year is definitely going to look a little different, I’m so excited that the 4th falls on a weekend because that means four days of celebrating! Ryan and I are starting our celebrations on Thursday night with some friends and then spending the weekend with our families! A full weekend of celebrations means I’m gonna need a few extra festive outfits this year! For those of you who are in the same boat, I wanted to share this Independence day outfit “formula” that is super easy to execute & repeat in so many different ways! In fact you probably already have most of these items in your closet already! If not, don’t worry I linked up some options and most should get here in time for this weekend!
DARLING WHITE DRESSESΒ
Start with a comfy & breezy white dress. If you’re expecting HOT weather like we are here in Chicago I always find light weight white dresses to be the most comfortable option. I’ve linked up several different white dresses that I love to suit any style or occasion below! If you’re not a dress gal you can use this same “formula” with some denim shorts and a white tee or tank!
BLUE ACCESSORIES
Instead of going overboard with red and blue accessories that clash, I like to stick with adding one or two blue accessories. This can be anything from a handbag to a headband or earrings! I linked lots of pretty blue accessories that I love below.
NATURAL ACCENTS
To keep things simple and clean, go with natural accents for the rest of your accessories like a woven bag, espadrille wedges/sandals, white sneakers or even some rattan earrings. Any kind of straw or rope-like accessories compliment a 4th of July look perfectly.
RED LIPSTICK
I love finishing off any Independence day outfit with a little red lipstick! This is an easy way to bring in a pop of red without having too much going on with the rest of your outfit! If you think you can’t pull off a red lip I promise, you can! A red manicure is another fun way to bring in some red!
