I took a little lunch break today to get started on my Christmas wrapping and got deep into Pinterest looking for Christmas gift wrap inspiration. I love wrapping all my gifts differently based on who it’s for and have so much experimenting with new wrapping ideas. Although, last year I tried to make my own wrapping paper using craft paper and stamps and it was a total Pinterest fail. It was really hard to make all stamps look good and space them out nicely! When my ideas don’t turn out as expected, my go to is a pretty tartan plaid paper with a big red or gold ribbon.
Since I looked at so many different gift wrap ideas, I thought I’d share some of the inspiration I’m using this year!
Classic Elegance

I love pretty paper writing on it like this “Merry Christmas” paper. I recently saw the cutest black and white “Falalala” paper from Target and may need to go back and get it so I can copy this gift wrap idea. I love how they used a striped ribbon and added a sprig of greenery. My mom recently showed me how to use greenery and pine cones on gift wrap and it looks so elegant and wintery. I’m definitely going to try that out this year!
Rustic Christmas

I have always loved these rustic looking Christmas gifts wrapped in craft paper, especially for mens gifts! The key is to find some really great ribbon like this stunning red and green wool ribbon they used here. I also love craft paper with a pretty velvet bow.
Monogrammed Gifts

This is an idea I want to copy every year but have never actually done it. Not sure If I’ll be able to find cute monogram letters like this for my wrapping this year but I love the idea of tying something like a cute ornament on top of the gift to replace a huge bow. You can also keep the wrapping paper more simple which is a great option when you run out of wrapping paper all the Christmas paper is sold out.
Classic Tartan

As I mentioned, my go to paper is a classic Christmas Tartan print. What I love about this is that they used a navy bow which really makes the paper pop. I’m going to try this out instead of my usual red or gold ribbon!
