It was snowing again today in Chicago but I didn’t mind at all because it was the prettiest snow I’ve ever seen! It was just kind of whirling around and the sun was shining- it was just so delicate and airy looking…kind of like this dress! When I first saw this dress online, I imagined it with some fun pink slides (like these) for the spring season. But, when it arrived in the mail, I couldn’t wait that long to wear it! I pulled inspiration from this post and paired it with a pair of tall tan boots. You can easily wear so many of your spring and fall dresses into the winter months by pairing them with a sleek pair of boots or booties. Yes, even midi dresses look great with a pair of heeled boots or booties. I love this kind of look for everything rom the office to brunch – its all about how you accessorize!
As for styling a white/ivory pieces in general during the winter months it’s all about the right color combinations. I think it’s best to stick with neutral and pastel pairings. I especially love pairing pretty shades of ivory and cream with cognac & tan colored accessories. It’s such a chic color combination and the perfect way to incorporate lighter hues into your winter wardrobe. I tend to stay away from pairing white with black, dark brown and dark grey’s because the contrast is a little to harsh. If you want add a pop of color, keep the looking soft and airy by sticking to pastels – like my fun mauve feather handbag! Save your bright color pieces to pair with your whites in the summer months!
