I’ve been keeping busy and giving myself a lot of grace this week and it has helped my anxiety so much. However, I still have moments where I feel my heart get heavy and I start to think about the upsetting events that have unfolded over the past two weeks. I’m trying not to push my fears and anxiety away but am giving myself a limited amount of time to dwell on them. I think it’s important to acknowledge our feelings but not let them take over! When I do start to feel anxious I gravitate towards some of my favorite comforts like a cozy pair of joggers, a cup of tea, or a soothing candle. I wanted to share a few of my favorite things along with some pieces that I thought looked SUPER cozy and comfy to wear while working from home.
The first thing that I use all day long is this cozy tassel throw. I have a hot pink one that I keep at my desk and drape it across my legs – it’s so cozy and comforting but not so bulky that it makes me hot. Another thing I try to have with me all day is my Yeti tumbler. I keep it filled with water and in the afternoon I feel it with one of my favorite relax teas. I also have a new geranium candle that I’m obsessed with. It smells like summer but is also super calming. As far as what I wear all day, since I’m used to working from home, I do usually wear something casual like jeans and a t-shirt but when I’m feeling a bit anxious I find so much comfort in having some cute but comfy sweats to throw on. I literally live in the puff sleeve sweater that I’m wearing. I also love this pullover and am planning to order it (currently on sale!) I’m also a big fan of wide legged sweat pants as opposed to leggings!
I hope you’re staying healthy, safe and sane during this time! Hang in there -we’re all in this together!
