I saw a hilarious meme the other day about how ridiculous Thanksgiving is because we all get dressed up to spend the whole day running around the kitchen looking “fly as hell” to cook a meal we eat in about 20 minutes or less – how true is that? However, I don’t mind because I’ll take any excuse to get dressed up. My family Thanksgiving is actually pretty casual so I’m typically a bit overdressed (per usual).
This year I really wanted to wear a cozy sweater dress – aka avoid wearing pants or anything that is constricting around the waist area. I found this marron blouse sleeve sweater dress and didn’t even try it on because it was exactly what I was looking for. I was planning to accessorize with a scarf and didn’t realize until I got home that it matched perfectly with one of my favorite pieces from last season. This vest is so festive for the holiday season. I love anything with a fur collar and the subtle plaid print add just the right amount of texture to this look. The best part of all is that my vest will help to cover up that food baby consisting of TONS of sweet potatoes, stuffing and pecan pie. 😊 I can’t wait! What’s does your Thanksgiving “Food Baby” consist of??
