Ryan and I love to take advantage of long weekends, so we took a quick trip to Boston over Memorial Day weekend to visit some friends. I had been to Boston once before and was so excited to go back. If you havenโt been, itโs such a quaint city that reminds me of Europe and is a must visit in my opinion. There are so many gorgeous historical buildings and tiny cobblestone back roads, you could spend a full day just walking around taking photos, which we did.
One of my favorite things about Boston is Boston Common. We have quite a few small parks in Chicago, but nothing really like Boston Common. Its almost like a mini Central Park. I loved that we were there for Memorial Day weekend because they had a very special tribute to all the military members from Massachusetts who have passed away in the line of duty. We didnโt really plan it intentionally but it was very cool to be in such a historic city for Memorial Day.
One of the best parts about where we stayed is that we had to walk through Boston Common to get to Newbery street โ where all the amazing shopping – is so we walked through it every day we were there! Our first day was really hot and humid so we stopped to get some fresh squeezed lemonade โ one of my all-time favorite summer things. We spent the rest of the day shopping along Newbury and ended the night with drinks on the harbor and dinner in little Italy with our friends.
I got so many compliments on this dress โ I was so surprised because itโs one of those throw on and go dresses that are super comfortable. I wasnโt planning on posting it but since so many people seemed to like it I thought I would share! Also, I didnโt get a great shot of my sandals, but they are from target and I wear them almost every day. They are super comfortable and really cute โ they also go with everything. If you like a little sparkle like me, definitely check them out!
