Today’s Friday favorites are a very random assortment of things that I love and look forward to each day/week. I’ve found that it’s incredibly important to show appreciation for and get excited about some of the little things in life like going out to brunch, treating yourself to your favorite cup of coffee or putting on perfume for date night. Here are a few of the little things in life that I love.
1. Coconut Milk Cappuccino: Just like I start every day, I had to start this post with my go to Starbucks order – a grande coconut milk cappuccino. After having studied abroad in Florence, Italy I became a huge fan of Cappuccino’s which I always loaded up with sugar (I have a huge sweet tooth). Eventually I became addicted to them but hated that I was starting my day with so much sugar! I randomly decided to give coconut milk a try in my cappuccino and I will NEVER go back to regular milk. The coconut has a natural sweetness that is just enough so I don’t miss the added sugar it also doesn’t give me a stomach ache like regular milk does. Most baristas will warn you that Coconut milk doesn’t foam well but I’ve never noticed a difference. If you’re a fan of Cappuccino’s I highly suggest giving coconut milk a shot!
2. Trader Joe’s Dark Chocolate Covered Cherries: As I mentioned in my last post, I have a huge sweet tooth. I can’t remember the last time I went an entire day without eating a piece of chocolate or candy. I always get a craving for something sweet right before bed so I keep these Trader Joe’s dark chocolate covered cherries in my pantry at all times! They also go great with a glass of red wine!
3. Le Pain Quotidien: I kind of hate that my fave brunch spot is a chain but this place is amazing! I am a huge breakfast person but my stomach is super sensitive to most breakfast foods like bacon and eggs. Le Pain Quotiden has amazing avocado toasts, smoothie bowls and pasteries. They also have a delicious matcha latte that I love. I’m super close to the one on Armitage so I also love that I can walk there and check out some of the cute shops on my way it makes for the perfect Sunday morning!
4. CREED Spring Flower Perfume: I’ve never been the kind of person to have a signature scent but I do tend to lean towards lighter more floral scents and this is the queen of them all. Not only is the bottle just the cutest thing ever it is the perfect floral scent and my go to from April – August.
5. Young Living Essential Oils: By now most people have at least heard mention of Essential Oils. If you haven’t tried them I think they’re worth a shot. Some people think they’re super hokey but based on my experience with them I think they truly work. A few of my favorites include:
Peace & Calming: I use this a lot before bed especially when I’ve had a stressful day.
Live with Passion: This one is just kind of a fun one that I think smells really good. It smells kind of like a spa to me so I love using during the weekends when I do mini spa nights with myself
Peppermint: This is great if you have a stomach ache or headache I put it directly on my skin or breathe it in through diffuser
