This week has been brutal but I think I’ve found the perfect combination of cozy outerwear to keep me as warm as possible while still looking cute and professional because if you ask me that is just as important.
I just got this coat for Christmas and am obsessed. Although a puffer coat is probably the warmest option its not the most chic choice. This cocoon coat is SO cozy and much warmer that you would think. It also comes in tons of different variations and colors to suit just about anyone’s style.
These aren’t going to keep you warm but some good music can certainly help keep your mind off the wind burning your face. My Airpods have made the commute much easier because I don’t have to deal with cords getting tangled in my coat and scarf. I can also change the song by simply tapping my ear which is very useful when I’m jam packed on the L.
I prefer Uggs over Sorrel boots for the commute because they’re super easy to slide on and off and a lot more comfortable in my opinion.
I have horrible circulation so my hands and feet go numb very easily. As cozy as my Uggs are, some days (like every day this week) I need an extra layer on my feet and these fuzzy socks always do the trick.
As I mentioned, I have horrible circulation so regular gloves just don’t cut it. I’m obsessed with just about any pair of gloves lined with faux fur. They keep my hands so warm. I have also found that mittens keep my hands much warmer.
I prefer wearing ear muffs (no hat hair!) but was quickly reminded this week that we lose most of our body heat through the top of our head so on negative degree days a hat is a must. Of course any hat will do but I’m obsessed with pom pom hats. I have one in just about every color at this point. The pink one I’ve been wearing all week is out of stock but I love this maroon color especially paired with my chestnut coat and Uggs.
Last but certainly not least, an oversize scarf is the best weapon for shielding your face from that bitter cold wind. This scarf is my all time favorite because its huge and incredibly soft. It also doubles as a blanket or shawl if you get cold at the office like me.
Stay Warm!
