Sweater | Jeans | Flats | Earrings
I had major writers block when trying to decide what to write todays post about and after staring at these pictures for about an hour and a half I realized that the only thing I had written down were the words “Comfort Zone”. As much as I love dresses, skirts, heels and overdone embellishments, I am most comfortable when wearing something in between my sweaty gym clothes/yoga pants and semi-casual cocktail attire. For me, nothing beats a comfy sweater, my favorite jeans and fun pair of flats.
In college, I was always the girl who people would roll their eyes at for going to class in something other than sweat pants. For me, getting a little dressed up is comfortable and I am so much more productive. I realized that in a funny way my style comfort zone translates really well to where my comfort zone lies in all areas of my life from how I handle work to how I spend my free time. When I allow myself to be in my comfort zone and stick to my routine I feel so much more productive in the long run.
However, we all know that we achieve much bigger life goals by pushing ourselves out of our comfort zone.ย So if that’s the case then why do we still spend so much time inside our comfort zones? Because we all need to take time to rest, recuperate and relax so that when the time comes to push ourselves out of our comfort zone we are ready! I guess what I’m getting at is that sometimes we need to tell ourselves that its ok to just be comfortable.ย As important as it is to push yourself out of your comfort zone its is equally important to consciously be in your comfort zone as well. The first step in doing so is to identify your comfort zone in every aspect of life from fashion to your career.
